Three hundred businesses from 25 countries and territories around the world attended the 18 th Vietnam
International Medical, Hospital and Pharmaceutical Exhibition 2011 (Medi-Pharm 2011 Expo) that opened in Hanoi on May 11.
The exhibition was jointly organised by Vietnam Medical Products Import-Export JSC (VIMEDIMEX VIETNAM ) and the Vietnam Advertisement and Fair Exhibition JSC (VIETFAIR).During the event, the enterprises, which are operating in the fields of pharmaceutical products and medical equipment manufacture and trade, introduced the most advanced products in the world in the fields of pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical products, production line equipment for preparing medicine, hospital interiors, medical equipment and equipment and products for beauty care, at 400 pavilions.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Public Health Cao Minh Quang said that the exhibition was an opportunity for domestic and foreign businesses to introduce and promote their products.
The event also aimed to boost information exchange and technological transfer between the enterprises, to raise production and trade productivity, assist them in grasping investment opportunities and expand markets, he said.
In the framework of the exhibition, a range of activities of free medical consultancy and examination, blood donation and seminars on health care was also organised.
The Vietnam Medi-Pharm 2011 Expo will last until May 14. – Vietnamplus
